About

Thank you for visiting Savvy Kitchens. I started this design business to fulfill the need of many homeowners who have found that kitchen remodels are the most challenging and difficult of the home renovation projects. Many don't know where to start. I am an "Independent" Certified Kitchen Designer(CKD) which means that I do not have any products to sell. Many of my clients choose to work with me because they feel comfortable knowing the overall focus is on the kitchen design without the added pressure of purchasing materials.

My creativity started at a young age. It started out by drawing sketches and sewing my own clothes which then led to making bedding, pillows, and window treatments. I soon found my passion for interior design. After graduating from University of Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, I put my passion to work as an interior designer for Ethan Allen. I took my first kitchen design course from the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) and was immediately drawn to this creative yet very technical field of kitchen and bath design and have been working in the industry ever since.

My love of cooking, enjoying fine wine and entertaining has led me to appreciate the importance of a well-designed and functional kitchen. The kitchen is the "Heart of the Home". Growing up in a large Italian family meant lots of cooking where everyone would always end up in the kitchen. This concept of everyone gathering in the kitchen is still very popular and has led to the “Great Room" design trend, which combines a more open kitchen with the family room.

My passion is in designing beautiful spaces that you and your family will enjoy for years to come.

Sincerely,

Loriann Savarese, CKD
